LEGO PlayStation Set Is Available to Insiders With a Free Astro Bot Figure
The 1,911-piece replica costs $179.99 in the US, and buyers must order before Oct. 7 to receive the 276-piece bonus.
LEGO Insiders can now order the 1,911-piece PlayStation set, and orders placed before Oct. 7 qualify for a free Astro Bot figure. The set costs $179.99 in the US and £139.99 in the UK.
The LEGO Insiders program is free to join, and shoppers can sign up through LEGO’s Insiders page before ordering. A previous launch schedule placed the set’s Oct. 1 PlayStation Direct launch ahead of its Oct. 4 release through LEGO stores and its online shop, with early access for Insiders expected.
The Astro Bot bonus, which had previously surfaced in leaked images, is a 276-piece, fully posable figure with swappable eyes. The 20-centimeter-tall model has a stated value of $19.99.
The console recreates the original PlayStation and includes a working Open button. Its disc tray can hold small Gran Turismo and Ape Escape scenes, while the controller connects to slots on the console’s front. A PlayStation logo built from flat tiles is tucked inside the disc tray, adding a small detail for builders to find along the way.
