In 2027, every team will have to earn its place at the PUBG Global Series (PGS), including teams in the Global Partner Team program. PUBG’s new competition format ties entry to regional league results across four phases, while also redrawing several competitive regions.
Regional results will decide each PGS field
EMEA will split into Europe, Eurasia, and MENA. The Americas will become North America and South America, and India will join as a new competitive region.
Each phase pairs a Regional League with a corresponding PGS. Teams will qualify based on their performance in that phase’s league, and reaching one PGS will not secure a place in the next. A region whose team wins a PGS will receive an additional seed for the following series, with the next phase’s league results determining which teams claim the regional places.

The Global Partner Team program will also change. From 2027, it will focus on collaborative in-game items and marketing activities rather than guaranteed PGS access. Existing partner teams will need to qualify through regional competition like everyone else.
PGS performance will build toward the championship
PUBG Esports Points will replace the separate PGC and PGS points systems. Teams will earn the new points only through PGS results, accumulating them throughout the year toward qualification for the PUBG Global Championship (PGC). Regional League results will determine access to each PGS, while the points race will track teams’ PGC qualification across the season.
The 2027 calendar is scheduled to begin in late March and run into early December. Phase 1 is planned for late March to early May, followed by Phase 2 from mid-May to mid-June. The PUBG Nations Cup (PNC) is scheduled for early July, with Phase 3 from early August to mid-September and Phase 4 from late September to early November. The PGC is scheduled for late November to early December. PUBG notes that the schedule may change.

PUBG also plans a new look for its esports program. Further details on regional league schedules and formats, points distribution, and other tournament information will come in later updates.
