PUBG Banned 21,119 Accounts During Its August 10–16 Enforcement Review

Cheating accounted for 12,012 of the bans, while PUBG also recorded 14,764 banned devices and 32,534 affected accounts.

PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS banned 21,119 accounts during the investigation period from August 10 through August 16, 2026. The figures appeared in a weekly notice published August 19, detailed in the game’s August 19 weekly bans notice.

How the 21,119 bans broke down

Cheating made up the largest portion of the enforcement action, although PUBG also removed accounts for several other forms of misconduct:

  • Cheating: 12,012 accounts
  • Team killing: 5,278 accounts
  • Abusing: 3,652 accounts
  • Teaming: 177 accounts

The weekly figures also included 14,764 banned devices and 32,534 affected accounts. Those totals track separate enforcement measures alongside the account bans.

The previous review, covering August 3 through August 9, recorded 65,453 banned accounts, as detailed in our August 3–9 sweep report. The latest total was 44,334 lower than that week’s figure.

Permanent bans and account safety reminders

Permanently banned accounts appear in the full permanent-ban list linked through the notice. PUBG says the in-game nicknames in the document have their first three letters replaced with asterisks.

Players who encounter illegal software or other misconduct should use the in-game reporting tools first. PUBG also advises Steam users to sign up for Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator as an account-protection measure, with additional help available through PUBG Support.
