Ralts is weak to Ghost, Poison, and Steel moves. Each weakness is highlighted at 160% in the event graphic, giving Trainers three clear attack types to build around.

Best attackers for Dynamax Ralts

Gigantamax Gengar should be the first attacker in most teams, using GMax Terror to target Ralts’s weaknesses. Steel-type options provide useful alternatives for both damage and defense, while the recommended lineups pair their Max Moves with specific Fast and Charged Moves.

  • Gigantamax Gengar with Lick, Shadow Ball, and GMax Terror
  • Crowned Sword Zacian with Metal Claw, Behemoth Blade, and Max Steelspike
  • Dynamax Gengar with Lick, Shadow Ball, and Max Phantasm
  • Dynamax Metagross with Max Steelspike
  • Dynamax Excadrill with Max Steelspike
  • Crowned Shield Zamazenta with Max Steelspike

Recommended roles for a Max Battle

A four-Trainer group works best with two attack-focused teams, one defender, and one healer. Registeel is the recommended defender, with Lock-On and Metal Claw providing a fast route to the Max Meter. The detailed lineup also lists Dynamax Registeel with Metal Claw, Flash Cannon, and Max Steelspike.

Dynamax Blissey can support the group as a healer with Pound, Hyper Beam, and Max Spirit. Other healing options include Dynamax Wailord, Dynamax Snorlax, Gigantamax Lapras, Dynamax Vaporeon, and Eternatus. Blissey’s high stamina makes it the clearest choice when the group needs a dedicated healer, but any of these Pokémon can help keep a team in the battle.

Dynamax Excadrill is another useful Steel-type option, with Metal Claw, Iron Head, and Max Steelspike listed for the matchup. Gigantamax Gengar handles the main damage while Registeel, Excadrill, or Blissey covers the defensive and support roles.

Each Trainer brings a team of 3 Pokémon. Start with a Charger that has a 0.5-second Fast Move, then follow it with two attackers. When the Max phase begins, switch to the attacker that matches Ralts’s weaknesses before returning to the Charger when needed. Fast Move typing determines the typing of the Max Move, so the Fast Attack matters more here than the Charged Move.

Dynamax Ralts’s moves

Ralts can use Confusion or Charge Beam as its Fast Move. Its Charged Move options are Psyshock, Disarming Voice, and Shadow Sneak. The Ghost, Poison, and Steel weaknesses remain the key points when choosing a team, although knowing the possible moves can help Trainers pick a sturdier defender.

Max Battle tips for the event

Fast Attacks help fill the Max Meter, and Trainers can also swipe toward energy icons when they appear. Once the meter is full, a 3-second countdown gives the group time to choose which Pokémon will enter the Dynamax phase. The phase lasts for 3 turns, and a Pokémon can Dynamax more than once if the meter fills again.

Max Guard can provide up to 3 shields for the Pokémon using it. Each shield absorbs 20 HP at level 1, 40 HP at level 2, or 60 HP at level 3, while a full stack absorbs 60, 120, or 180 HP respectively. Max Spirit heals active Pokémon across the group, so high-stamina Pokémon are useful when a team needs extra support.

With Gigantamax Gengar ready for damage and Registeel or Blissey covering the defensive roles, Dynamax Ralts should be a manageable Tier 1 battle even for solo Trainers. The wider schedule also gives players more time to pursue the returning Pokémon and enjoy the shiny preview featured in the event graphic.
