Pocketpair says Palworld 1.0 is still a ways off, but the team is keeping it under wraps for now
John "Bucky" Buckley said Pocketpair is still focused on Palworld 1.0 and will only start teasing more once the game is much closer to finished.

Pocketpair still does not have a release window for Palworld 1.0, and the studio says the full launch remains a work in progress. On April 14, 2026, Pocketpair publishing lead John “Bucky” Buckley said on X that the team is still focused on 1.0 and that it has been staying quiet until the game is ready.
In the post, Buckley answered a player who asked whether Pocketpair was still working on the game. He said the team had posted a video last September explaining that everyone was focused on 1.0, then added, “I know you gamers want 1.0 ASAP, but it’s still in the oven!” via his X post.
A DM today:
“Are you guys even working on Palworld
anymore? Where is 1.0 bro?!”Last September, we posted a video explaining that the entire team’s focus was on 1.0 and that we’d be going quiet until it’s ready.
I know you gamers want 1.0 asap, but it’s still in the oven! 🙇

Buckley later followed up in replies and said Pocketpair would only start showing more once the game is much closer to launch. He wrote that the studio would “crack the oven open a little when it’s nearly done so you’ll smell it” in another post.
We’ll crack the oven open a little when it’s nearly done so you’ll smell it 👃

He also pushed back on the idea that Pocketpair had gone silent because it lacked a plan for the game. In a separate reply, he said the studio has a good grasp of how to market and promote Palworld, even if it is not ready to share more right now, in this post.
People said the exact same about our pre-release, and about Sakurajima, and about Feybreak, Terraria…etc…
It's great how enthusiastic everyone is for 1.0, but when it comes to how to actually market and promote our game…I think we have a pretty good grasp on what to do😭

Palworld has been on a long path toward 1.0, and Pocketpair has spent months signaling that the team wants the full release to land properly. For players who have been waiting on more than teases, that means the game is still in a holding pattern for now. If you want a bit more Palworld context while you wait, Pocketpair has also been talking about the spinoff side of the brand and even the games the team is following closely.
The message is simple for now. Palworld 1.0 is still being worked on, and Pocketpair is keeping the lid on until it has something closer to show. Share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram.
