Path of Exile 2 players will begin racing for ExileCon finale spots on August 6, when the first of four qualifiers goes live. Grinding Gear Games announced the schedule in its official Steam update.
Each qualifier will be hosted by ZiggyD and Raiz. The winners will earn a trip to Auckland, New Zealand, where they will compete in the live Path of Exile 2 race finale at ExileCon.
Qualifier schedule
- Qualifier One: August 6 at 2:00 p.m. PDT
- Qualifier Two: August 13 at 2:00 p.m. PDT
- Qualifier Three: August 20 at 2:00 p.m. PDT
- Qualifier Four: August 27 at 2:00 p.m. PDT
The races will challenge players to defeat Tavakai in Act Four. Competitors will play in a Solo Self-Found Runes of Aldur event with a fixed layout, giving everyone the same basic route to learn and push.
The qualifiers will not use Hardcore rules, but deaths will still cost racers precious time. After every death, the character will remain unable to move for two and a half minutes before the run can continue.
How to enter the qualifiers
Players who want to compete must link their Path of Exile account to Twitch through the game’s account connections page. After that, they can select the race from the Character Select screen and press the Join button.
Once a character enters the game, it will stay stationary until the race officially begins. The full competition rules are available in the official qualifier ruleset.
Both PC and console players can enter the qualifiers. The ExileCon finale, however, will be played on PC. Finalists can bring their .build files and preferred gaming peripherals to the event.

- Entry into the ExileCon Path of Exile 2 Race Finale
- An Ultra VIP ExileCon ticket
- A Demigod’s Virtue Unique Helmet
The first player to defeat Tavakai in each qualifier will claim that event’s prize package. The races will also be streamed through the official Path of Exile Twitch channel.
