Path of Exile 2 Earns Steam Deck Verified Status Before Its Free Launch
Players can use the handheld for Early Access now, while the Duelist and free-to-play version are scheduled for Dec. 11, 2026, PST.
Path of Exile 2 is now Steam Deck Verified, giving players a supported way to take Grinding Gear Games’ action RPG on the go during Early Access. The developer confirmed the milestone in its Steam announcement.
Players who want to start before the free launch can purchase an Early Access Key and play Path of Exile 2 on Steam Deck today. The game will become free to play on Dec. 11, 2026 (PST), when players will also be able to play as the Duelist.
Steam Deck support gives the action RPG another way to fit into a player’s routine without waiting for the full release. The announcement does not detail any special graphics settings or performance changes, so the Verified status is the key update for handheld players right now.
