Palworld’s Mimog Effigy Rewards You for Catching the Same Pal Five Times

The 1.0 update added Mimog Effigies to Palworld, and you can spend them at a Statue of Power to improve several character stats.

Palworld’s 1.0 update added a new reason to catch Mimog more than once. After capturing the chest-like Pal five times, players receive a Mimog Effigy that can be used to improve character bonuses.

Mimog usually disguises itself as a chest, then runs away if a capture attempt fails. The Effigy is tied to capturing the Pal, not defeating it, so players should focus on completing the capture count.

How to Get the Mimog Effigy

Capture Mimog five times to complete the Pal’s initial capture bonus. Once that fifth capture is recorded, the game adds a Mimog Effigy to your inventory alongside the golden sphere shown next to the Pal’s name.

The fastest approach is to return to earlier areas after upgrading your Pal Spheres. Lower-level Pals are easier to capture with stronger equipment, letting you build up the required counts without spending as many resources. The Ring of Mercy can also help because it leaves Pals at 1 HP instead of defeating them.

To check how many Effigies you have, open your inventory and switch to the Key Items section.

How to Spend Mimog Effigies

Mimog Effigies are used at a Statue of Power. The statue lets players trade Effigies for small improvements to character abilities, including Capture Power, Swimming Ability, and Sphere Tracking.

Statues of Power can be found at several abandoned churches across the map. Players can also build one at their base instead. The recipe requires:

  • 20x Stone
  • 10x Paldium Fragment

Movement Speed is listed at the bottom of the Statue of Power menu. It raises the player character’s base movement speed, giving you a passive bonus as you continue collecting Effigies. It will not replace travelling with a fast flying Pal, but it is a useful upgrade for regular movement around the world.

Since Mimog Effigies come from a normal capture milestone, revisiting early zones can help you collect them while also earning experience from completing the first five captures for other Pals.
