Once Human’s Version 2.3.8 pass trims bugs and nudges Gardener balance
Starry Studio's May 20 notes fixed Miss Memory interactions, a loading issue tied to The Portal, and a handful of settlement and storage problems.

Once Human received another small maintenance pass on May 20, with Starry Studio posting Version 2.3.8 bug fixes that target a handful of gameplay and settlement problems. The update does not read like a big systems overhaul, but it does clean up several friction points that players had run into around Blackfell, Season Settlement, and offline item behavior.
The studio also pointed players to its support channels on PC and mobile for anyone still running into issues. That kind of follow-up has become familiar for the game, including a December bug-fix pass for Version 2.2.3 (December 18 fix notes), and this latest round keeps the focus on small, specific repairs rather than a wide-ranging overhaul.

The following are the ongoing/completed fixes:
May 20
1. Fixed an issue where players cannot interact with Miss Memory in Blackfell.
2. Fixed an issue where the Strange Door’s derivative building, “The Portal”, could get stuck while loading in some cases, resulting in incomplete loading. The above fix requires a re-login to take effect. If the issue persists after a re-login, please contact Customer Service.
3. Fixed an issue where the Chef’s placed Campfire Stove was not correctly retrieved during Season Settlement.
4. Fixed an issue where the Portable Fridge did not function correctly after the character went offline in some cases.
5. Reduced the Gunpowder production efficiency of the Gardener to optimize long-term class balance.

That leaves Version 2.3.8 as a focused cleanup patch, with the biggest practical fixes aimed at interaction bugs and base management. The Gardener adjustment is the only change here that touches balance directly, and even that reads as a long-term tuning move rather than a broad class rework.
