Starry Studio has previewed two new Deviants for Once Human, and both will arrive after the version update on July 9 PT. The pair, Acting Physician and Lady Sea Nettle, come with very different disguise rules, behavior patterns, and combat mechanics.
Acting Physician shows up in abandoned medical spaces in the workshop area, where it can pass as a blue coat lying on the floor before revealing its full form. Once the disguise breaks, the fight centers on a computer terminal on its chest and abdomen, which the studio describes as its true weak point. If that terminal is not destroyed while it is exposed, the creature can recover when its health gets low, so players will need to watch for those openings closely.
The enemy also leans on close-range grabs and energy theft. Its attacks drain energy on hit, restore its own health if the drain lands, and deal heavy damage when a target has no energy left. It can also cling to walls or ceilings, which should make those hospital corridors a lot less comfortable.
Lady Sea Nettle takes a different route. It moves through shallow water, uses a humanoid shell wrapped around a jellyfish-like head, and becomes more aggressive as its water sac fills up. In combat, it drains hydration first and then health, while its own weak point becomes easier to punish when the sac is empty or damaged. Keeping her away from water and forcing her onto dry land seems to be the safest answer.
