Old School RuneScape’s new league flips progression into a demonic race through Varlamore

OSRS Leagues 6 is live from April 15 through June 10, 2026, with the Demonic Pacts League replacing the usual path through a fresh start, Ironman rules, and a Pact-based skill tree.

OSRS Leagues 6 began on April 15, 2026, and Old School RuneScape players now have a new seasonal mode to work through until June 10, 2026. The latest league, called Demonic Pacts, puts progression in a very different place this time around, starting everyone in Varlamore and pushing them toward a more unusual route through the game.

The league works like the other limited-time OSRS events. It uses separate worlds, asks players to start from scratch, and speeds progression with boosted XP and drop rates. The hook this time is the contract system built around Yama, the demonic Master of Pacts, who replaces the usual league setup and changes how players build out their characters.

Players begin at level three in Varlamore with a choice of three starter relics. Misthalin stays locked out for the entire league, while Karamja opens up after players clear 80 tasks. From there, the path widens as they hit later task milestones, with additional regions becoming available at 200, 350, and 450 tasks. The rules also follow Ironman restrictions, so there is no player trading and no Grand Exchange.

Instead of the combat masteries from the previous Raging Echoes league, Demonic Pacts uses a branching Pact skill tree. Players spend their first point during the tutorial, then build toward a total of 40 Pact points over the course of the league. Jagex also says there are up to three full tree resets available, which gives players room to swap builds if they want to change direction later on.

Echo bosses are back as well, but they have been adjusted for the new structure. Defeating a standard boss can reward an Echo Orb, which then opens the door to a stronger version with exclusive drops. These upgraded fights are available in every area except Karamja, so the number of Echo bosses players can access depends on which regions they unlock.

Relics remain a major part of the season too. The opening choice is between Endless Harvest, Barbarian Gathering, and Abundance, and Jagex said this lineup will be hard to narrow down. Tier three is one to watch, since it includes instant teleport options for banks, boss locations, or agility shortcuts.

The full league also brings rewards tied to the points players earn, though the shop for spending them will not open immediately. That keeps the early focus on region choices, Pact points, and the route each player takes through the league’s altered progression.

For players who have never tried the mode before, the timing makes this a clean entry point. Old School RuneScape’s seasonal leagues have always been about fast power growth and unusual rule sets, and Demonic Pacts leans hard into both.
