Marvel Rivals is excited as leaks reveal new content that will roll out soon. While the player count has decreased slightly, the game still boasts numbers many live titles would envy. The community can look forward to fresh events and modes designed to keep players engaged and returning for more.
A new event will kick off on March 7 and run until April 11, offering players a chance to earn rewards while participating. This time, the spotlight shines on Black Widow, who currently holds the title of the game’s least effective hero but is expected to receive buffs in future patches. Players can expect a Western-themed event featuring a free skin called “Mrs. Barnes,” which transforms Widow into a cowboy inspired by comics where she had a romantic link with Bucky Barnes. Fans of the MCU may find this twist surprising since such dynamics were never explored in the films, leaving many wishing for more character development.
In previous events, Black Widow played a role during the Lunar Lucioball event, where she was one of three playable characters. A Lunar skin was also available for her then, making some players feel frustrated that skins were being released for characters they might not play often.
But that’s not all, another mode set to debut called Clone Rumble. This promises to be an exhilarating addition to the game’s roster of gameplay options. Here’s how it’s described:
“Dive into the Clone Rumble, a fresh gameplay mode where you and your teammates choose from the same heroes to battle together! Assemble your impossible team and unleash the full potential of each character to claim victory.”
Just imagine teams composed entirely of Hulks buffing each other or an army of healers, making them nearly invincible. It’s bound to lead to chaotic fun! This raises questions about whether any comic-inspired clone suits will make their way into this mode; perhaps we could see something inspired by Spider-Man.
