Naughty Dog may be aiming to release Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet in 2027, according to a new claim from industry leaker NateTheHate2. The game has not received an official release date, so the window remains unconfirmed.
NateTheHate2 shared the claim on July 28, writing that “2027 is the intended target.”

Naughty Dog has shown very little of the PlayStation 5 project since its reveal. That quiet period does not necessarily point to a delay, as Sony has often focused its marketing on only a small number of upcoming games at a time. The company has recently put more attention on Marvel’s Wolverine, which is scheduled to launch on September 15, 2026.
A 2027 release would give the PS5 another major first-party title during what could be the final stretch of the console generation. The Last of Us Part 2 and Ghost of Tsushima arrived close together during the PS4’s final year, providing a recent example of Sony finishing a generation with several large releases.
More information about Intergalactic could arrive later in 2026, potentially during a State of Play presentation or The Game Awards in December. For now, Naughty Dog and Sony have not confirmed a launch window.
