The wait is nearly over, as Monster Hunter Wilds will receive its first free Title Update on April 4. Capcom has shared the details of this update, which introduces new huntable monsters and interesting additions to the game world.

On April 4, players can look forward to facing Mizutsune, a bubbly leviathan known for its graceful attacks and immobilizing bubbles. Hunters must reach Hunter Rank 21 and speak with Kanya in the Scarlet Forest to start this mission. This update will also introduce Arch-tempered Rey Dau as part of an Event Quest for players above Hunter Rank 50, providing them an increased challenge and opportunities to forge a new Gamma armor set.

The roadmap indicates that another free Title Update is already planned for release this summer, teasing Lagiacrus as a future huntable monster. More updates will expand on what players can expect.

Title Update Features

  • New Monsters: Mizutsune and Arch-tempered Rey Dau added as huntable challenges.
  • Grand Hub Area: A central gathering space where players can partake in activities like Barrell Bowling.
  • Seasonal Events: The Festival of Accord: Blossomdance begins on April 22, featuring limited-time equipment and quests.
  • Arena Quests: Limited-time events allowing solo or cooperative play with pre-determined equipment or no restrictions at all.
  • Cosmetic Updates: Returning classic gestures and various outfit options for both hunters and handlers are available through downloadable content.

The Grand Hub offers refreshing ways for hunters to interact while celebrating village traditions. In addition to enjoying performances by local artists during festivals, players will have access to faster global clear times displayed at the Expedition Record Board within the hub. As part of ongoing enhancements in Monster Hunter Wilds, it’s apparent that there’s always something new waiting just around the corner!

This update continues Capcom’s commitment to enriching player experience with interesting content across PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
