MLB The Show 25 Update 1.019 Brings Player and Equipment Model Fixes Plus More

MLB The Show 25 just received its latest patch, version 1.019, which is now available on all platforms. This update includes refreshed player and equipment models alongside several bug fixes that fans will appreciate. While it might seem like a routine update, these touches help keep the baseball sim looking sharp and running smoother.

For those on PS5, this update will appear as 1.019, Switch users will see version 1.18, and Xbox Series X|S players will get version 1.0.81. Each brings the same improvements, tailored for their platform.

What’s New in MLB The Show 25 Update 1.019?

General

  • Uniform and art updates for the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby have been added. The visuals around these events get a nice polish this time around.

Home Run Derby

  • Offline Home Run Derby rules got tweaked: the second round timer drops from 3 minutes to 2 minutes. A shorter round means a bit more pressure to hit those dingers fast.

Equipment

  • Fixed missing cleat textures for Under Armour cleats, so no more awkward invisible shoes on the field.

Updated Player Models

After the content deployment at 12 pm PT, several players will have updated models reflecting their latest appearances. Here’s the list:

  • Andrew Abbott
  • Gavin Cross
  • Christian Encarnacion-Strand
  • Lucas Erceg
  • Dietrich Enns
  • Cade Horton
  • Marcelo Mayer
  • Bryce Miller
  • David Peterson
  • Shane Smith
  • Jose Soriano
  • Tomoyuki Sugano
  • Ryan Vilade
  • Matt Waldron
  • Brandon Walter
  • Bryan Woo

Updated Equipment Models

  • Adidas Cleats – Adizero Impact 2.0 Candy
  • EvoShield Catcher Chest Protector: Pro SRZ 2.0 All-Star Game
  • EvoShield Catcher Leg Guard: Pro SRZ 2.0 2025 All-Star Game
  • EvoShield Protective Gear: Pro-SRZ 2.0 Batter’s All-Star Elbow Guard
  • EvoShield Protective Gear: Pro-SRZ 2.0 Batter’s All-Star Leg Guard
  • Franklin Batting Gloves: CFX Pro 2025 All-Star Game

It’s a modest update, but it keeps things fresh for players who want their baseball experience as authentic as possible. Have you noticed the new equipment or player model tweaks in your games yet? I’m curious if the quicker Home Run Derby round changes how folks approach the challenge.
