Minecraft players on consoles got a fresh update with version 1.027, which arrived on August 13. This patch is mostly about fixing bugs and crashes from the recent Bedrock 1.21.101 update. It’s a minor but essential fix-up that cleans up some rough edges, especially for those using the new experimental features introduced last week.
Some of the fixes tackle crashes that happened during gameplay or when removing treatment packs while loading a world. Grass colors in Swamps and Mangrove Swamps got corrected too, which might seem minor, but it helps with the game’s look. Firefly Bush particles now appear where they should, and those bushes are spawning more often, like they’re supposed to. That was a weird one.
Another fix deals with items not going into Bundles correctly when using Hoppers. I bet that wasn’t very pleasant if you tried it. PlayStation 5 players had issues downloading large packs in Realms and multiplayer worlds, which this patch also fixes. Plus, a command selector bug where ‘c=-1’ didn’t return the furthest matching entity was resolved.
Honestly, it’s a pretty standard fix patch, but hey, it’s better than waiting around for the next big content update with these problems still in the game. If you’re into the Preview build, there was another update just a day before this one, packed with more changes. Expect more fixes like these to come before any new content lands.
