Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024’s iniBuilds A380 Is Now Available as Sim Update 7 Testing Continues
The first SU7 beta build, version 1.9.10.0, released to enrolled players on September 11 ahead of the National Championship Air Races activity scheduled for October 13.
iniBuilds A380 Airliner is now available exclusively through the in-sim Marketplace for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The new aircraft is the main addition in the September 18 MSFS weekly briefing, which also recaps the first Sim Update 7 beta build and the team’s preparations for October’s air racing activity. Microsoft first announced the A380 as a Marketplace exclusive on September 15, without providing a release date at the time; details of that planned debut appear in Microsoft’s initial A380 announcement.
The A380 includes detailed visuals, flight profiles, systems logic, autopilot mechanics, and a next-generation electronic flight bag. Passenger features are part of the package as well, including functioning showers, giving long-haul pilots another large aircraft to add to their virtual hangars.
Sim Update 7 testing moves toward the October air races
The first public Sim Update 7 beta build, version 1.9.10.0, reached enrolled players on September 11. The build includes fixes across many parts of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 as testing continues ahead of the National Championship Air Races activity.
The activity remains scheduled for October 13, with SU7 planned to arrive alongside it. The date was previously confirmed in the National Championship Air Races announcement. Players attending this year’s races in Roswell, New Mexico, can also visit the MSFS booth for a pre-release look at the activity.
Wednesday’s developer livestream brought together Jorg, Seb, and Martial with Working Title’s Chris Burnett and Matt Nischan, AT Simulations’ Andrei Tsvirenko, and National Championship Air Races representative Tony Logoteta.
A380 walkthrough and community plans
Players looking for a guided introduction to the new aircraft can watch a long-form walkthrough from Mach Talk, a real-world A380 and A350 instructor. The video focuses on operating the A380 correctly and should be useful for anyone moving beyond a quick test flight.

FSimUK 2026 will hold its inaugural flight simulation event next month in Bristol, with industry developers exhibiting alongside Concorde. Registration is available through the FSimUK event page, while regular group flights and player-hosted sessions remain available through the community events program.
