Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is lining up a Sim Update 6 beta and an A220 showcase

The July 9 briefing also points to a July 15 livestream with iniBuilds and Synaptic Simulations, plus a Kiribati-themed Community Fly-In Friday on July 12.

In its July 9 weekly briefing, Microsoft Flight Simulator said the Sim Update 6 pre-release public beta has started after last week’s Sim Update 5.1 and World Update 22: United States National Parks. The first test build, 1.8.5.0, has release notes in the beta notes thread, and enrollment instructions are posted for PC-Windows Store, PC-Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 in the welcome post.

The team also asked testers to vote in the build surveys and report issues in the SU6 beta forums. Feedback and bug reports will help inform the next build.

A220 livestream is coming on July 15

Microsoft Flight Simulator also said it will host a special livestream on Wednesday, July 15 at 12:00 p.m. PDT (1900 UTC). Developers from iniBuilds and Synaptic Simulations will join the broadcast to show the A220, and the briefing pointed to the trailer for an early look.
