NetEase moved to cut through a fresh wave of Marvel Rivals anti-cheat chatter, saying the game’s protection cannot be switched off through launch parameters. The clarification came in a new blog post on Marvel Rivals’ official site.
The company said the parameter in question only hides the pop-up window. It does not disable the anti-cheat software, which starts alongside the game client.
NetEase also said its team has found players using cheats, illicit assist tools, and client tampering. Those accounts face permanent bans, and repeat offenders can also be hit with account, device, and IP bans.
The timing lands as Marvel Rivals heads toward Season 8, where Cyclops and Devil Dinosaur are confirmed for the roster in Season 8 roster news. The season is titled Sins of Alchemax.
