EA Play members can now try EA SPORTS Madden NFL 27 for up to 10 hours. Following the previously announced August 6 start date, the trial is available through Xbox Cloud Gaming, PC Game Pass, or Ultimate with EA Play, as confirmed by Xbox Wire’s August 6 announcement. Players who purchase the full game can carry their progress forward.
EA Play members also receive 10% off EA digital purchases, including Madden NFL 27 and Madden Points. The membership includes a monthly Madden Ultimate Team Pack, along with a Welcome Pack for the new football season. EA’s EA Play member benefits include access to a wider catalog of games, selected trials, and in-game rewards.
What players can try in Madden NFL 27
The trial includes Madden NFL 27’s Persona Engine, which gives each NFL athlete an individual personality that affects their motivations, decisions, and responses. Those personalities feed into Franchise mode, creating a league that reacts to the choices made throughout a season.
On the field, the game adds more precise control for wide receiver and defensive back battles, new short-yardage mechanics, defensive coverage improvements, and extra strategic settings and controls before the snap.
The expanded G.O.A.T. Career Journey takes players from high school toward the Hall of Fame. It features deeper skill trees, new playable positions, and career decisions that shape the player’s path.
Ultimate Team also receives a revamped upgrade system. In-game objectives award skill points that can be used to improve favorite players with new Evos items.
Other EA Play rewards available in August
Madden NFL 27 is not the only EA title with a membership reward this month. EA Play members can also claim the following items:
- Apex Legends: The Gold Garlic Grenade Weapon Charm is available until August 31.
- EA Sports FC 26: The Clubs Wildstyle Blue Headband with Mohawk is available until August 13, and the game is now part of The Play List.
- EA Sports NHL 26: World of Chel Season Pass XP Multiplier Tokens and Chel Coins are available until August 27.
- EA Sports College Football 27: A College Football Ultimate Team Pack is available until August 31, alongside an EA Play Welcome Pack.
