Loki Is Unavailable in 4 Marvel Rivals Modes Ahead of Season 10
Loki remains available in social hubs and competitive modes, but no reason or end date has been announced for the restriction.

Loki is unavailable in Quick Play, Arcade, Practice vs AI, and 18 vs 18 in Marvel Rivals, although the God of Mischief remains available in social hubs and competitive modes. The restriction arrives just before Season 10 and does not appear to be a full roster removal.
No reason or end date has been announced. The timing has created an obvious lore-based theory, since Gorr the God Butcher has been widely reported as one of Season 10’s new playable characters. If the change is connected to Gorr’s arrival, Loki’s disappearance could be part of a story event tied to the character’s god-hunting mission, but NetEase has not confirmed that link.
Loki’s Current Marvel Rivals Availability
- Unavailable: Quick Play, Arcade, Practice vs AI, and 18 vs 18.
- Still available: Social hubs and competitive modes.
Marvel Rivals has used its story to affect character availability before. During the Mystery of Thebes storyline, Apocalypse killed Gambit, Psylocke, and Wolverine before Jubilee later resurrected them. Loki’s restriction could be another temporary story beat, though no return date has been given.
The change follows the August 7 Season 9.5 update, which added The Hood and new event content. With Season 10 approaching, Loki’s limited availability is one of the clearest visible changes tied to the next seasonal chapter so far.
