Leaked footage of Insomniac’s canceled Multiplayer Spider-Man game

Today, we can see what Insomniac Games planned to do with its multiplayer Spider-Man game. The canceled Multiplayer Spider-Man, “The Great Web” game by Insomniac was a reality, at least briefly. After the data breach at Insomniac Games, many contents were revealed, but this trailer didn’t surface.

The leaked footage was first shared by Insider-Gaming. The footage itself can be found on a Stremable link embedded below:

There seem to be plenty of surprising elements, with a co-op of up to 5 players. The game would’ve featured Miles Morales, Peter Parker, Spider-Woman, Venom, Silk, and other multiversal Spider-man variants. The plot itself, as influenced by the multiverse concept, had Scarlet Witch tearing the fabric of reality to allow these heroes to unite.

The trailer showcases extensive customizations and an experience similar to what GTA Online offers nowadays. Why was the development of this title stopped? Only God knows, but one day, we might see it coming back. Let’s hope it does come back.
