Warhorse Studios has announced that a much-anticipated Hardcore Mode will be introduced to Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 next week. This update promises to deliver a more challenging survival experience, stripping away some of the usual aids players have relied on. This should heighten the stakes for those seeking tougher gameplay.
The excitement surrounding Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, which has been popular since its February release, continues. It now boasts millions of copies sold worldwide. I previously shared my thoughts in a review, praising it as an essential medieval adventure.
Since launch, the developers have consistently provided updates, including fun features like a barber mode that adds flair to your character. We can look forward to the promised Hardcore Mode hitting our screens soon.
This new mode will challenge players with limited mechanics-say goodbye to map markers and fast travel options! Players eager for difficulty will find their skills truly tested.
Hardcore Mode is coming to #KCD2 next week.
Pick your perks. Embrace the pain. pic.twitter.com/RYzuEQWhQw— Kingdom Come: Deliverance II (@KingdomComeRPG) April 7, 2025
The following new perks will accompany Hardcore Mode:
- Numbskull
- Somnambulant
- Bad Back
- Picky Eater
- Bashful
- Sweaty
- Menace
- Hangry Henry
- Punchable Face
- Heavy Footed
I can’t help but chuckle at some of these names: Numberskull might leave you feeling less than sharp, while Bad Back could limit your carrying capacity. Plus, who wouldn’t want the perk named Punchable Face?
