Kingdom Come Deliverance 2’s director Daniel Vávra claims that his upcoming game has the most extended script ever recorded. It’s always fascinating to see how far storytelling in games has come.
The record holder is Baldur’s Gate 3, boasting over 2 million words. Quite an impressive feat that stems from its intricate narrative that includes about 1,888 voiced characters and a whopping 174 hours of cinematics. The game’s depth comes from its extensive player choices and even dialogues with animals how charming!
In a recent post on X Vávra stated that he believes Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has surpassed this word count, claiming the script exceeds 2.2 million words.
As far as I know its the longest script for the game ever. Including BG3. https://t.co/nN8NxbT4qT

This claim remains to be verified until the game’s release on February 4, which has been pushed forward by a week. Until then, Baldur’s Gate 3 retains its title, according to Guinness World Records. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, set during a civil war in 15th-century Bohemia, promises an expansive narrative experience. If such grand storytelling elements are present in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, I’m genuinely curious if they’ll incorporate player-driven narratives that can rival those of its predecessor.
