The highly expected title InZOI, developed by a South Korean studio, has climbed to the top of Steam’s wishlist leaderboard. As reported by both SteamDB and Steam’s own platform data, this Sims competitor recently surpassed the previously most wish-listed game, Hollow Knight: Silksong.
The surge in interest comes as its Early Access launch approaches on March 28. Notably, in just one week, the game attracted over 50,000 new followers on Steam, bringing the total to approximately 240,000.
The game aims to offer a fresh take on life simulation games with realistic graphics and extensive customization features. While some mechanics may feel familiar to fans of EA’s popular franchise, this title emphasizes player creativity when designing characters, objects, and other elements within the game.
A standout feature allows players to import their textures for various surfaces and use AI tools that convert personal photographs into tangible objects within the game. For instance, during our review session, we uploaded an image of a Tom Nook Build-a-Bear plushie successfully transformed into an in-game object.
The game’s functionalities extend further; users can upload videos capturing movements that will be processed by generative AI to create animations for their virtual characters. Creations can also be shared via Canvas, InZOI’s built-in sharing platform.
