Hunt: Showdown 1896 Chapter 3 Notes Detail Lancaster Pistol and Europe Ping Test
A later community event will offer the Lancaster and its Cleaver variant as stage rewards.
Hunt: Showdown 1896’s Blood Testament Chapter 3 introduces a four-barreled Lancaster pistol and outlines a temporary high-ping matchmaking test in Europe. The chapter also brings fair-play follow-up notifications and Hunt Dollar refunds for players killed by someone who was banned.
The Lancaster uses medium ammunition, can be dual-wielded and ejects every round when its break-action is opened. Its Cleaver variant adds an under-barrel blade with melee attacks comparable to a Heavy Knife. Both weapons are among the rewards planned for Reap the Harvest, a community event coming later in Chapter 3.
During the European test, players above a ping threshold will enter a separate matchmaking queue. If that queue cannot find them a match, they will return to regular matchmaking. Crytek’s Chapter 3 notes also say five Bileweaver Infested Compounds will be active per game, with both new and old compounds eligible to appear.
Reap the Harvest will have five stages, with players earning community points by completing match objectives. Its rewards range from Hunt Dollars and Event Points to the two Lancaster weapons and a random Legendary Skin. Chapter 3 follows Chapter 2, which was scheduled for October 6 with a Story Challenge, Community Event, two Tarot Cards and a new Tool.

A four barreled, medium ammo pistol with a rotating firing pin which allows for a high fire rate. Favored by Hunters on safari as a self-defense weapon due to its superior reliability and stopping power. Opening the break-action will always eject all rounds.

World
- All Bileweaver Infested Compounds (new and Old) will have a chance to spawn in Chapter 3. There will be 5 compounds active per game.
Fair Play Follow Up
- Players get a follow up notification when a player they reported was banned
- Players get a Hunt Dollar refund when they get killed by a player who was banned
High ping queue (Temporary test in Europe for the duration of Chapter 3)
- Players get matchmade into a separate queue if their ping is above a threshold. The goal is to reduce exposure to high-latency gameplay. Should they not be able to find a match, they rejoin the regular matchmaking queue.

New Community Event: “Reap the Harvest”
“Reap the Harvest” is a new Community Event that is planned to start later in Chapter 3. The Community Event will consist of 5 Stages, each offering a reward to the whole of the community. Players will progress the Community Event by earning Community Event Points which is done by completing objectives in matches.
