Warhorse Studios has interesting news for fans of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. The highly anticipated Hardcore mode will launch next week, promising a more challenging experience for players. This update will introduce ten distinct perks that protagonist Henry can acquire, each with its own drawbacks that could significantly impact gameplay.

The studio announced this development on Twitter, showcasing the following list of perks:

  • Numbskull
  • Somnambulant
  • Bad Back
  • Bashful
  • Picky Eater
  • Sweaty
  • Menace
  • Heavy Footed
  • Punchable Face
  • Hangry Henry

The effects of these perks remain undisclosed, but their negative implications suggest they will create challenges as Henry traverses the game world. For instance, the Picky Eater perk may lead to specific food preferences that complicate hunger management during gameplay.

A notable aspect of Hardcore mode is the restriction on navigation tools. Players won’t have access to a compass or instant map location, meaning they’ll need to rely on environmental cues and their surroundings to find their way around.

The game’s roadmap also hints at future expansions. A paid expansion titled Brushes With Death is expected in the Summer 2025, where Henry embarks on a quest alongside a mysterious artist. Following that, Autumn 2025 will bring another expansion called Legacy of the Forge, focusing on Henry’s journey as he seeks to restore his adoptive father’s forge and become a skilled blacksmith. Lastly, Winter 2025 will see the release of Mysteria Ecclesia, where Henry takes on a covert mission within Sedletz Monastery amidst an illness outbreak.
