Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition will launch on PS5 on October 1, 2026, adding a new narrative expansion, a single-player combat survival mode, and several quality-of-life features. PlayStation announced the package in a PlayStation Blog post.
The package is also timed to the first anniversary of Ghost of Yōtei‘s original release.
Players can also watch the announcement trailer for a first look at the new content:
Echoes of Sekigahara brings Atsu’s past into focus
The new story expansion, Ghost of Yōtei: Echoes of Sekigahara, will move between two periods in Atsu’s life. Its present-day sections take her to an unseen valley once controlled by The Snake and his followers, the Vipers, while flashbacks show her time on the mainland during the Battle of Sekigahara and the events that brought her back home to pursue vengeance.
The expansion will also introduce Nagato, a person from Atsu’s past who has arrived in Ezo. New enemies, heavy weapons, armor sets, dyes, and other rewards will accompany the story.
Most Wanted turns combat into repeatable runs
Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted is a single-player combat survival mode built around roguelike ideas. Each run begins with a bounty, and defeating enemies will provide perks while opening up more playable characters.
The trailer shows Atsu using dual katanas, Oyuki fighting with a kusarigama, and Nagato wielding a yari. The additional characters will each specialize in one of the game’s main weapons. More details will arrive before launch, but the mode is designed around replaying runs and improving each attempt.
Complete Edition pricing and upgrade details
The Complete Edition will cost $69.99 USD for players who do not own the game. A physical disc edition will also be available on October 1, 2026, while Southeast Asian markets will receive the package on October 2. It includes the main campaign, the four-player online co-op experience Ghost of Yōtei Legends, both new additions, and the content previously released in the Digital Deluxe Edition. Online multiplayer requires PlayStation Plus. The package also comes with the Charm of Hokkyokusei.
Regional pricing for the Complete Edition is listed as follows:
- Singapore: SGD 89.90 for the disc version or SGD 97.90 for the digital version
- Malaysia: MYR 299 for the disc or digital version
- Indonesia: IDR 1,169,000 for the disc version or IDR 1,142,000 for the digital version
- Thailand: THB 2,290 for the disc or digital version
- Philippines: PHP 4,099 for the disc version
- Vietnam: VND 1,799,000 for the disc version
New owners will be able to start the main game and Legends immediately. Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted will arrive through a patch on October 1. Patch v2.0 will be available globally on October 1, 2026, while some territories, including Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, will receive it on October 2.
Players who already own Ghost of Yōtei can purchase the Complete Edition Upgrade for $14.99 USD/£11.99. The upgrade covers both new additions. Ghost of Yōtei Legends is not part of the paid upgrade because it launched as free DLC for existing owners on March 10. In the listed Southeast Asian markets, the digital-only upgrade costs SGD 20.27 in Singapore, MYR 60.11 in Malaysia, IDR 220,890 in Indonesia, or THB 524 in Thailand. Pre-ordering by September 30 will also unlock the Digital Deluxe content and Charm of Hokkyokusei immediately for owners who do not already have them.
Purchases made by September 30 will include an early unlock for the Sakai Armor on October 1. The armor is a nod to Jin’s family armor from Ghost of Tsushima, though it will be worn by Atsu in Ghost of Yōtei.
Existing owners will receive new features on October 1
The October 1 patch will give every Ghost of Yōtei owner access to Beauty of Yōtei, a screensaver-style mode that lets players display Ezo’s environments while away from the game. It can also be used as a backdrop for new Photo Mode captures.
The same update will add the ability to keep one armor set’s appearance while using another set’s stats, along with a new high-contrast accessibility option. Complete Edition owners will also receive new Watanabe Mode music, extra Photo Mode stamps, more New Game+ cosmetics, and new Trophies tied to Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted.
