A small update for Gears of War: Reloaded arrived on September 3, which is an important update because several launch problems remain unresolved, and players on multiple platforms continue to report crashes, trophy issues, and visual bugs that affect the experience. The update also appears on consoles and clocks in at about 339 MB. The Coalition has not published detailed notes for this release, though a post by The Coalition said recent matchmaking problems had been addressed.
Players still face achievements failing to track, widespread crashing, particularly on PC, persistent Gnasher inconsistencies and shadowing problems, all of which continue to undermine multiplayer sessions and single-player polish. It’s a small download.
Patch Notes – 1.006.001
- Achievements/Trophies not tracking properly
- Gnasher remains untouched
- Visual issues with shadows
- Crashing issues (mainly on PC)
Technical troubles aside, the core gameplay still holds up even if it feels a bit dated, a point noted in MP1st’s review of the remaster.
