Garry’s Mod received a new update on August 9, dealing with a couple of issues that are supposed to bring everyone a much better gameplay experience. Even though the patch is small, the developer has noted that this update is crucial and recommends that servers and clients get it as soon as possible.

The changelog is as follows:
- Fixed performance degradation with lots of static props
- Fixed crash with threaded addon file access
- Fixed changelevel crash to do with ragdolls
- Fixed crashes when trying to draw invalid sprite textures
- Fixed Lua errors when spawnlists contain invalid data
- Fixed spawning Sky editor not loading in Star Scale setting
