Fortnite’s Mid-August Season Could Bring Sonic, Persona, and More Gaming Icons
Reports point to Mega Man, Tetris, and Pac-Man joining Sonic and Persona in Fortnite's next full-length season.
Fortnite‘s next full-length season will reportedly center on famous gaming franchises, with Sonic, Persona, Mega Man, Tetris, and Pac-Man among the names connected to the upcoming content.
The season is scheduled to begin in mid-August 2026, although Epic Games has not officially confirmed the crossover lineup. The information reportedly came from encrypted files found in the latest Fortnite update, with Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR sharing the gaming-legends theme in a specific post about the report.
That leaves plenty of room for questions about how each franchise will appear. Mega Man and Persona characters could fit naturally as outfits, while Pac-Man may need a more creative treatment. Tetris presents an even bigger mystery, since its presence could involve gameplay content, cosmetics, or a themed location rather than a traditional character.
The rumored lineup would also give Fortnite a broad mix of Sega, Bandai Namco, and other gaming properties. Sonic is the clearest character-driven addition, but the inclusion of games such as Tetris and Pac-Man suggests that the season may reach beyond standard skin collaborations.
Fortnite is currently in Chapter 7, Season 3, which has included collectible Sprites alongside collaborations involving John Wick, DC, and Spider-Man. The next season will be the chapter’s final full-length season. A shorter season will follow it before a live event brings Chapter 7 to a close, with the format reportedly similar to last year’s The Simpsons collaboration.
