Arc Raiders is holding a final free weekend, giving players a last shot at the extraction shooter before it launches on October 30. The game shifted to an extraction format after the team acknowledged an earlier build “wasn’t much fun”, and that change steered development toward tighter, risk-and-reward runs.
Access this weekend is being handed out in waves. Players who took part in Tech Test 2 have priority and may already be in. Steam is sending playtest invites in batches today for newcomers. Consolepcgaming’s write-up of the Server Slam test set for October 17–19 covers earlier sessions and timing details.
The Server Slam includes the Dam Battlegrounds map, a chunk of early and mid-tier gear, and a handful of quests. Embark Studios is using the free weekend to stress-test its backend ahead of launch. Pre-orders and launch timing were highlighted in a separate report on pre-orders and the Server Slam. The studio has also published final specs; a write-up on final system requirements may help you tune settings.
Arc Raiders has climbed high on wishlists since the pivot, and its mix of shooting and extraction loops is now a big part of the conversation. Before you jump into the Server Slam or the full release, confirm your rig meets the Arc Raiders system requirements.
