Final Fantasy 14 update 7.35 has arrived, and it brings a full-on crossover with Monster Hunter Wilds plus a stack of new content. Players who own Dawntrail and have a Magic job at level 100 can jump into the Windfall Wilds activity, face off with Guardian Arkveld, and earn themed rewards.
Windfall Wilds pits eight adventurers against a Guardian form of Arkveld. Regular and an Extreme version are available, with Extreme accessible through the Raid Finder. Completing the activity grants a Veldian weapon coffer to each player. Guardian Scales can also be looted from Arkveld and traded at the smithy Tuliyollal for weapons and items. A separate Monster Hunter Wilds-themed quest called “The White Wanderer” has been added as well.
An all-new roguelike deep dungeon, Pilgrim’s Traverse, has been introduced. Entry requires level 91 or higher. Numbered stones will guide players through dozens of floors, each containing three treasure coffers that offer different rewards. One coffer in some zones may be booby trapped, and opening it deals damage to the character. Three new quests tied to Pilgrim’s Traverse have been added, with the third listed simply as “???” in the notes and unlocked after clearing “the area marked by the final stone of Pilgrim’s Traverse.”
Additional story and quality-of-life content includes two new quests in the Hildibrand Adventures arc, allied society missions for the Yok Huy that unlock daily side tasks after completing a primary mission, a new hairstyle, fresh housing items, and various balance adjustments. Full details sit in the patch notes.
