Assassin’s Creed Shadows is redefining how it handles pre-orders and editions. With multiple options on the table, Ubisoft seems to have a more consumer-friendly approach, which could bode well for this latest installment.
This time around, Ubisoft has opted out of the traditional Season Pass model. Instead, they’re promising some free post-launch content, strengthening pre-orders for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Here’s what you’ll need to know about the various editions and their bonuses.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Pre-Order Bonuses
No matter which edition you grab, there are two pre-order bonuses: The Claws of Awaji DLC, featuring over ten hours of new content, and the Thrown to the Dogs Quest, a classic AC adventure. Pre-ordering Assassin’s Creed Shadows will net you both pieces at no extra cost.
Don’t worry too much if you miss out on pre-ordering; the Claws of Awaji DLC will eventually be available as a standalone purchase. This might be the most straightforward release in years with no Season Pass in sight.
