Edinburgh’s rework is taking shape with more than postcard views. SCS Software shared a preview of the Scottish capital on October 21 as part of its ongoing UK Rework for Euro Truck Simulator 2, highlighting landmarks, freight work and features planned for passenger journeys in its Steam announcement.
Princes Street brings several familiar sights together, including the Scott Monument, the Balmoral Hotel’s clock tower and Edinburgh Castle, set above the city on Castle Rock. Arthur’s Seat is also visible from parts of Edinburgh and beyond. Around the landmarks, the reworked streets mix commercial districts with residential neighborhoods, while a statue of Sherlock Holmes stands at Picardy Place.

Freight drivers will have work around Leith, where the Port of Leith’s docks, yards and nearby infrastructure anchor one of the city’s industrial areas. Delivery jobs will also be available at a local construction site and around the outskirts. The Edinburgh garage, meanwhile, sits beside the coast, with the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home nearby.

Trams and double-decker buses will help fill out the city’s streets. Edinburgh Bus Station is being built with the upcoming Coaches DLC in mind, so drivers will be able to collect and drop off passengers there. The expansion is also planned to add scheduled passenger services.
