Escape from Tarkov’s Lighthouse Update Arrived September 8 With Hostile Rogues and a New BTR Route
The patch moved Rogues to the chalets, sent a multi-route BTR across Lighthouse, and added Icebreaker access, mountain passages, and a broad inventory pass.

Escape from Tarkov received its broadest Lighthouse overhaul since launch on September 8 with Patch 1.1.5.0. Battlestate Games changed Rogue positions, PMC spawns, the long-road approach, extraction routes, loot distribution, and several progression systems in an attempt to address some of the map’s most persistent problems. The reported build identifier is 1.1.5.0.47242.
Battlestate Games has published the full Patch 1.1.5.0 notes. Lighthouse receives the largest group of changes, although the update also includes task, balance, quality-of-life, and stability adjustments across the game.
Nikita Buyanov confirmed the September 8 timing with a brief post on X. The message was short, but the map changes arriving with it are not.

How Lighthouse changed on September 8
Water Treatment Plant is no longer the main Rogue stronghold. The Rogues moved to the mountain chalets, turning that section into a fortified position. Water Treatment Plant also lost its stationary weapons and all landmines, while the open stretches along the main road gained more cover and additional routes. New checkpoints make the long-road approach less of a shooting gallery from the surrounding mountain areas.
PMC spawn locations changed as well. Extra terrain and foliage shield players when raids begin, reducing the number of starts where someone is immediately exposed before having a chance to move.
Loot distribution changed across the location, with Rogue stashes containing abandoned gear added throughout Lighthouse. The Marked Room moved from Lightkeeper’s peninsula, and Prapor’s camp was relocated along with other key points used by the main story tasks.
A BTR patrol and mountain passages open new routes
The BTR now patrols Lighthouse rather than follow a single advertised path. Its route has several variants and covers the entire location, including the approach to the bridge leading to the peninsula and the Water Treatment Plant. Players have to account for a moving threat across more of the map instead of treating the vehicle as a predictable landmark.
New underground passages run through the mountains and shorten the journey to extracts in the southern part of Lighthouse. The map also gained a transition point to Icebreaker. Its hovercraft remains at the pier near the water cottages, so the new connection adds another travel option without removing the existing landmark.
Rogues now target USEC and BEAR PMCs
Rogue behavior changed alongside the layout. The AI no longer distinguishes between USEC and BEAR PMCs when they enter Rogue-controlled territory, so neither faction receives special treatment. The patch notes also adjust Rogue attitude toward USEC characters.
A temporary task chain focused on the shifting faction balance on Lighthouse accompanies the rework. Several other Lighthouse side tasks changed, and new tasks are intended to make progression through the location smoother.
Lightkeeper access and Icebreaker requirements changed
The task chain that unlocks Lightkeeper access was completely reworked. Its new requirements are designed to test a player’s skills rather than repeat the same type of objective. To receive the first task in the To the Light chain, players must gain access to Lighthouse through the Tour storyline, reach Loyalty Level 3 with every trader except Fence and Ref, maintain at least 2.0 reputation with Fence, and ask Mechanic about working with Lightkeeper.
Some Lightkeeper tasks were also rebalanced. They can now reward a rare key to a loot room on the Lighthouse peninsula, giving the revised progression a more tangible payoff.
Icebreaker can now be accessed from both Shoreline and Lighthouse. The route no longer requires a rouble payment, but it does require a one-time-use Sudak-Tudak marine repair kit. Ragman’s Pay the Fare! task provides the first kit, and a special type of operational task becomes available afterward to provide more. The reported change record also lists the kit as an item for Ragman tasks, allows it to occupy special slots, and prevents it from being sold to Fence or Mechanic.
Reported inventory and economy changes
A community change record timestamped September 8, 2026, at 10:55 AM EDT lists additional inventory and economy changes for build 1.1.5.0.47242. These entries do not replace Battlestate Games’ official notes, but they add useful detail to the patch’s broader storage pass.
Magazine and Weapon cases can now be placed inside backpacks. New storage objects include a seasonal Carbon fiber case for money, a Box with supplies for Rogues, a Case with goods for the smugglers, opened technical and unlocked medical and ration supply crates, an unlocked wooden crate, and a USEC body container.
The update also adds the Hard drive with false data, the Amulet from Lightkeeper, S.I. Tretyakov’s personnel file, the Lighthouse island stash key that replaces the old marked key, and the Everclear two-stage water filter. Four 5.8x42mm ammunition packs join the item pool as well, covering DBP191, DBX95, DVC12, and DVX12 rounds with 30 rounds per pack.
Container capacity changes are extensive. The Box full of junk becomes 8×5 instead of 4×4, the Wooden crate becomes 5×3 instead of 5×2, and the Medcase becomes 5×3 instead of 5×4 while holding a maximum of four items instead of five. Weapon boxes change from 5×2 to 6×2, 4×4 to 6×4, 5×5 to 6×6, and 6×3 to 6×4. Dead Scavs become 5×5 instead of 4×4 and can hold up to eight items instead of five.
Ground caches and Buried barrel caches now contain at least two items instead of one. Ration supply crates become 5×8 instead of 5×5, while Technical and Medical supply crates become 8×8 instead of 5×6 and guarantee at least two items. Medbags now contain at least four items instead of three.
Weapon cases, the Trijicon REAP-IR, FLIR RS-32, Armasight Zeus-Pro 640, SIG Sauer ECHO1, and Cyclone Shakhin thermal scopes move to the Superrare rarity. Adrenaline also becomes Superrare instead of Rare. Ammunition cases drop from 3 to 0.508 kilograms and Magazine cases from 5.44 to 3.94 kilograms after their material changes from metal to plastic.
Shattered, Glorious E, Death Shadow, and DevTac Samurai Menpo masks receive armor class 0. The Death Shadow Gold, Gray, and White variants are included in the change, along with the Gold, Purple, and White DevTac Samurai variants. Death Shadow now provides 0.25 blindness protection without an ergonomics penalty, while the listed Samurai variants lose their ergonomics penalty.
Double-action accuracy penalties are also reduced to 0.01 for the MTs-255-12 12ga shotgun, Chiappa Rhino 50DS .357 revolver, Chiappa Rhino 200DS 9×19 revolver, and RSh-12 12.7×55 revolver. Wooden and plastic gear crates are examined by default, and the Everclear two-stage water filter can be used in the Water Collector.
The reported record lists Glukhar as spawning at Lighthouse 100 percent of the time and no longer spawning on Reserve. It also lists trader stock changes, including an AK TDI AKM-L handguard at Skier Loyalty Level 4, additional Geissele, HK 416, AR-10, AR-15, and L3Harris parts at Peacekeeper Loyalty Levels 3 and 4, and an M1A National Match flash suppressor at Mechanic Loyalty Level 3.
Other Patch 1.1.5.0 changes
Outside the map rework, the patch adds an indicator showing when an item can be handed over for a task. Players can view and report a PMC or player Scav from the post-raid list of killed players, and shooting a lock off a container or door now has a larger hit area.
A new Can’t Drink Away Skill task rewards the Loui Peeton wallet and becomes available after completing Is This a Reference? The Part of the Ship, Part of the Crew achievement now also rewards an Icebreaker Model Kit, which has a crafting recipe. The Expansion Hub adds the Rave Hideout customization set with an underground club theme.
Balance changes reduce the early XP multiplier for transitions. It now increases more gradually, starting below the previous value for one or two transitions and reaching the former values at 16 or more transitions. XP rewards are also lower for eliminating Wedge, his squad, and Black Division operatives on Icebreaker, as well as Shadow of Tagilla, Vengeful Killa, and Scavs in The Labyrinth. Trader prices for euros and dollars are lower, the HK MP5 sale price changes at Mechanic and Peacekeeper Loyalty Level 2, and armor is removed from the Glorious E mask, Shattered mask, DevTac Samurai Menpo Mask, its White variant, Death Shadow mask, and its Gray variant.
The update fixes disappearing weapon presets, empty keybind entries, excessive shading at Labs, environment and health display problems in Spectator Mode, padlocked doors that remained impassable after their locks were destroyed, bolt-action rifle hit registration after bipod mounting, incorrect wrist displays during weapon inspection, and magazine reload problems involving an unsearched rig. It also addresses bleeding effects associated with the Fresh Wound effect and Dr. Jekyll modifier, skills that failed to progress after gym training, task items that remained incorrectly marked as available, regular Scavs becoming hostile after a player Scav damaged a Black Division operative, and bot reactions to gas grenades.
Additional fixes cover crashes while loading into raids, UI and culling problems, favorite crafting recipes being cleared when creating a character in another mode, posters that could not be placed in the Hideout, ammunition appearing in some trader weapon presets, missing weapon attachments in Peacekeeper’s stock, and incorrect weapon presets for Sanitar, Killa, and Kaban’s guards.
With the Rogue relocation, safer spawn coverage, new traversal options, expanded BTR patrols, revised progression systems, and a much larger inventory pass, Lighthouse now plays differently from the moment the update arrives.
