Battlestate Games launched a new Twitch Drops campaign for Escape from Tarkov that begins today, December 22, at 3 PM GMT / 10 AM EST and runs through January 4 at 3 PM GMT / 10 AM EST. Viewers watching streams in the Escape from Tarkov category can earn in-game items and unlockable containers during the event.
The developer’s official blog post says Drops activate on every Twitch channel broadcasting in the Tarkov category for the campaign window. Drops are guaranteed for viewers at certain intervals and come in container tiers labeled Common, Rare, and Epic.
Important rules to claim rewards:
-
- Players must own an active copy of Escape from Tarkov to receive Drops.
- Both viewers and streamers need to link their Twitch accounts to their Tarkov profile; account linking is done on the official profile page and is required to enable Drops. Link your profile here.
- Viewing time only counts when watching broadcasts that are participating in the campaign.
The event is available to players on both PvP and PvE platforms. Battlestate said it will do more for PvE users going forward, a point that addresses recent complaints from the PvE community about previous events favoring PvP players. For context on how few players have pushed through the Tarkov campaign to completion, see reporting on how few players have finished the campaign. If viewers plan to chase Drops, confirm the streamer’s broadcast is showing in the Escape from Tarkov category and that both accounts are linked before the session starts.
