Escape From Tarkov “Pest Control” Quest Guide

Eliminate 10 Scavs in Reserve's main barracks for Jaeger, with one important wrinkle in how the kill area is described.

0 0 1 minute read

Pest Control requires 10 Scav kills in Reserve’s main barracks, and Jaeger offers it at player level 10. Focus on Scavs inside the black and white Pawn barrack buildings. Do not rely on kills outside the buildings without checking whether the counter increases.

Requirements and objective

Reach player level 10 to start the quest.
Eliminate 10 Scavs inside the main barracks on Reserve.

Equipment

The objective does not require a quest item or a particular weapon.

How to complete Pest Control

Reserve campus map highlighting Black Pawn east of the helicopter and White Pawn south of it, with Reserve Expert floor and key references. — Pest Control takes place at the Black Pawn and White Pawn barracks around Reserve’s helicopter courtyard. The highlighted buildings identify the area, not the exact kill-trigger boundary. The armory key notes are for Reserve Expert, not a Pest Control requirement.

Go to the black and white Pawn barrack buildings on Reserve.
Eliminate 10 Scavs inside the main barracks. Prioritize targets inside the buildings and check your counter if you take a shot near the perimeter.

Deliberately becoming Tagged and Cursed can help draw Scavs into the area.
