Escape from Tarkov Patch 1.1.5.1 Adds 50-Player Weekly Leagues for Seasonal Characters
The top 25 players rank up each week, while 15 keep their rank and 10 are demoted, with newly earned rewards remaining permanently unlocked.

Escape from Tarkov Patch 1.1.5.1 introduces a weekly competition for Seasonal characters, placing players into 50-person groups after their first raid and tracking their progress through experience earned in raids and tasks. Battlestate Games outlines the system and its fixes in the official Patch 1.1.5.1 notes. The patch follows the Lighthouse rework in Patch 1.1.5.0, which moved Rogues, added BTR routes, and reduced early transit XP.
League progress comes from eliminating PMCs, Scavs, and Bosses, completing tasks, examining items, and other experience sources. Experience earned in EFT: Arena still goes to the character, but it does not count toward League placement.
Each group has its own leaderboard, and the weekly results divide players into three outcomes. The top 25 rank up, 15 remain at their current rank, and 10 are demoted. Reaching a new rank unlocks its rewards permanently, even if the character later drops to a lower rank.
The patch also addresses a transition failure that could leave transitions unavailable after a chain of moves and cause progress on some tasks to be lost. The fix is especially relevant to players who have seen problems during long PvE transit runs, although the notes do not explicitly connect the two issues. Other fixes cover magnified optics, laser alignment, hybrid-optic performance, weapon-container animations, ammo pack prices, and visual problems on Lighthouse.

League System
Added a new competitive system – Leagues, available only for Seasonal characters.
After your first raid, you’ll be placed into a group of 50 players of your rank. Each group has its own leaderboard. Your position on the leaderboard is determined by the amount of experience you’ve earned during the week.
Experience earned from eliminating PMCs, Scavs, and Bosses, completing tasks, examining items, and so on will count toward your League progress.
Experience earned in EFT: Arena won’t count toward Leagues, but will still be awarded to your character.
The more experience you earn, the higher you’ll place on your leaderboard. At the end of each week, the top 25 players will rank up, 15 will remain at their current rank, and 10 will be demoted.
The first time you reach a new rank, you’ll receive its corresponding rewards. These rewards are yours permanently, even if your rank is later reduced.
Rewards will be available in all modes. Please note that rewards delivered via in-game mail may arrive in PvP and PvE modes with a delay.
When a Seasonal character’s progress is reset, the current Rank and all experience earned during the week will be reset.
Fixes
- Fixed an issue where transitions became unavailable after a series of transitions from other locations, followed by the loss of progress on some tasks;
- Fixed an issue where, when using magnified optics at FOV other than the minimum, bullets would land noticeably above the reticle;
- Fixed the incorrect laser device beam deviation during automatic hip fire at FOV other than the minimum with certain weapons;
- Fixed a performance drop when aiming through a red dot or iron sight on hybrid optics such as the ELCAN SpecterDR;
- Fixed an issue with incorrect hand animations when interacting with weapon containers on locations;
- Fixed the incorrect calculation of ammo pack prices when selling them to traders;
- Fixed several visual issues on Lighthouse.
Will the 50-player weekly leaderboard make Seasonal progression more competitive, or does the 10-player demotion group add too much pressure? Share your take, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, and Telegram.
