Escape from Tarkov Nerfed Scourge and Extended Labs Event to Oct. 26

The changes cut Scourge's health, field of view, and detection speed, while players who completed the event task line receive its new achievement automatically.

Battlestate Games has weakened Escape from Tarkov’s Scourge after his encounters in The Lab became punishingly fast and accurate. The update lowers his health across all body parts, reduces his field of view and detection speed, and increases his firing spread at range. Scourge Incursion will now run through October 26, 2026.

Before the change, Scourge’s quick target detection and precise fire could leave players with little time to react. The adjustments reduce both his ability to find players and his accuracy at a distance, while the health reduction makes him less difficult to bring down.

Battlestate also added an achievement tied to the event task line. Players who had already completed the event will receive the achievement automatically.

If you faced Scourge before the balance change, how did his accuracy affect your run through The Lab? As Scourge Incursion continues through October 26, stay connected with us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, and Telegram.
