How to complete Blue Fire

1. Speak to Mechanic, then find the device fragment

Ask Mechanic about the EMP blast from the trader screen. For the fragment, choose one of two locations. Both locations are locked, so bring the matching key for your chosen route.

  • LexOs car dealership: Enter the closed section on the second floor using the Car dealership closed section key. The fragment is inside a food container. Watch for claymores around the dealership premises.
  • Chekannaya 13 apartment building on Streets of Tarkov: Use the Mysterious room marked key on the marked room. Enter through a courtyard window, follow the corridor to the second room on the left, then go through the hole in the bedroom wall. Head downstairs and open the door on the left. The fragment is in a flower pot.

Once you have the found-in-raid fragment, hand it over to Mechanic through the trader screen.

2. Plant the hacking device in The Lab

Go to the server rooms on the southern side of The Lab’s first level, beside the testing block. The plant point is at the western side of the server room, next to the office chairs near the stairs. Stash the Local network hacking device there. If you already planted the device for the Boreas story chapter, this objective completes automatically.

3. Return to Mechanic and make the fragment choice

Talk to Mechanic again. The later objective asks you to keep the fragment of Item 1156 or hand it over to him. Keeping it unlocks Better Served, while handing it over pays 1,500,000 Roubles.

4. Find a lead on Item 1156

Pick up and read the found-in-raid Note mentioning Item #1156 at one of these locations:

  • Ground Zero (Level 21+): Office no. 4 on the second floor of the TerraGroup main building. Entering this office requires the TerraGroup science office key.
  • Lighthouse: First floor of the northern blue chalet, on a bookshelf near the central stairs.
  • The Lab: Second floor, office O22, on a desk.

5. Investigate the Rus Post office

Find Rus Post on the west side of Primorsky Avenue, opposite the Pinewood Hotel. Enter the street-level post office and check the customer counter, vending machine and rear office for all 3 found-in-raid tapes. Pick up and listen to each one:

  • Rus Post audio tape 11.05 / 001: On the desk with a screen behind the counter.
  • Rus Post audio tape 11.05 / 002: On top of the coffee vending machine beside the storage room.
  • Rus Post audio tape 11.05 / 003: On the desk in the back office, reached through the hallway behind the counter.

6. Unlock the Rus Post car and retrieve the specification

The car is in front of the post office. Its key has a guaranteed spawn beside the back right wheel each raid. Use the key to open the car, then pick up and read the found-in-raid Item #1156 specification from the back.

Rewards
