Darkflow Software says Enlisted will get a new Golden Chest as part of the Operation Neptune update, and the focus is squarely on squads and cosmetics.

The chest will work much like the Silver Chest system that Enlisted already uses, but the odds lean harder toward squads. Darkflow says it will have a much higher chance of dropping a squad, including event squads and premium squads that were removed from the stores and the in-game shop.
The Golden Chest will also hand out weapons and vehicles from older events and Battle Passes more often, along with the unique uniform pieces tied to premium and event squads. The screenshot included with the announcement shows the chest priced at 299 Gold, and if a customization piece drops, it will also become purchasable for Gold so players will not need to keep chasing duplicate copies.
Darkflow says the list of available customization items will expand later, so this looks like a system that should keep growing after it goes live.
