EMPULSE Update #3 Will Add ADS, Custom Games, and Refreshed Maps
The Early Access update is scheduled to arrive on July 31 with bot-controlled Mechs, new weapon camos, and performance work for three maps.

EMPULSE will receive its third Early Access update on Friday, July 31. 1047 Games described the patch as the biggest content release for the game since its Early Access launch in its Steam announcement.
The update will make Aim Down Sights, or ADS, a permanent part of the game. Players first tested the feature through the Experimental Playlist, and the feedback from that trial helped move it into the main experience.
Custom Games arrive with the update
Custom Games v1 will give players more control over private matches with friends and communities. 1047 Games also wants players to share feedback as they spend time with the feature, especially around what should be added or changed in later versions.
Harbor and Plaza will receive visual refreshes
Harbor and Plaza will keep their existing layouts and movement routes, but both maps will receive new textures, surfaces, and character. The goal is to change their atmosphere without changing how they play.
The preview also confirmed several other additions and improvements:
- Bots will be able to pilot Mechs, which should be useful alongside Custom Games.
- Rare and Epic weapon camos will be added across many weapons.
- A performance pass will target Seadock, Harbor, and Plaza.
1047 Games said it will share the full details for Early Access Update #3 in the days before its July 31 release. Tell us what you think of the upcoming additions in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.
