Dying Light: The Beast Update 1.7 Schedules 3 Weeks of Anniversary Events

The Call of the Beast event begins September 21, while Crane's Anniversary Drops offer 21 days of daily rewards through October 19.

Techland has published the release notes for Dying Light: The Beast Update 1.7, with the game’s first anniversary celebrations scheduled to begin on September 18. The Steam release notes outline a 2XP Weekend, a three-week community event, a daily reward calendar, and several gameplay and technical fixes.

The anniversary schedule opens with the 2XP Weekend on September 18. The main Call of the Beast: 1st Anniversary Edition event begins on September 21 and will run for three weeks. Players will work toward weekly global goals, take part in votes, and influence gameplay modifiers that affect battles in Castor Woods during the weekends.

The event also adds tougher enemies and rare Bober Infected spawns. Players can redeem anniversary rewards through the Outpost event page while working toward each week’s global community goal.

Crane’s Anniversary Drops begin September 21

Crane’s Anniversary Drops will run alongside the Call of the Beast event as a 21-day reward calendar on the Outpost Web Hub. Daily logins will unlock in-game dockets, store points, festive weapon skins with blueprints, and other rewards.

Missed days will not immediately lock players out. Rewards can be claimed later during the event, but all unclaimed items will become unavailable after October 19 at 2:00 PM CEST.

Beyond the anniversary content, Update 1.7 addresses a Race Challenge issue that could leave assets intact and block the player’s path. The technical fixes cover crashes and errors, FPS spikes during PS5 boss fights, Settings menu stuttering, and screen tearing when Ray Tracing and Frame Generation are used on RTX 40XX graphics cards.
