Masterworking and Tempering arrived in season 4 as Diablo 4’s crafting twist, but complaints about the system have stuck around. Players say getting desired stats can turn into an expensive roll-fest, and hard-earned items can get effectively bricked by bad RNG. Fletcher stopped short of specifics on exact adjustments. Replies to community questions revealed a few tidbits, including that feedback on the Reliquary system is still being discussed and that more information on possible leaderboards will arrive soon. On reworking gear stats, Fletcher wrote, “a lot will be changing. More details in the next couple weeks.”
Season 11’s PTR does not have a release date yet.
