Diablo 4’s Latest Hotfix Lets Players Craft More Mythics
Hotfix 3.1.1a is live on PC, while the console release is scheduled for July 17 with cross-play disabled until then.

Blizzard has released Hotfix 3.1.1a for Diablo 4’s Season of Death Awakening, removing the limit on crafted Mythic equipment and increasing Mythic-related rewards from the Corrupted Reaper. The hotfix is currently live on PC.
Players on consoles will receive the update on July 17. Cross-play remains disabled until the console version launches, after which Blizzard will re-enable it.
The update also removes an unintended Cube interaction that allowed players to add the Mythic modifier to Unique Charms and Seals. Blizzard said the change was not planned for Season 14 and came from an unintended side effect of another fix.
Blizzard’s official 3.1.1a patch notes also preview a change planned for Season 15. Mythic reroll crafting will be removed from the Horadric Cube, while a direct Mythic upgrade will preserve the original Unique item. Blizzard will consider whether the one-crafted Mythic rule should return for that specific crafting path.
Diablo IV 3.1.1a Patch Notes
The hotfix focuses on Mythic crafting, Corrupted Reaper rewards, and an unintended Unique Charm and Seal interaction in the Cube.
Season of Death Awakening
Note: This Patch will release for Consoles on July 17, so until then, cross-play will be disabled. Once the Patch releases for Consoles, cross-play will be re-enabled.
Updates
- Removed the “one-crafted Mythic” equipment restriction on Mythic items.
- Developer’s Note: In S15’s Horadric Cube, we’re removing Mythic reroll crafting and adding a direct upgrade to Mythic that preserves the original Unique Item. We’ll evaluate bringing back this rule for that specific crafting path only.
- Increased the drop rates of Mythic and Iconic Unique Items from the Corrupted Reaper.
Bug Fixes
- Removed the ability to add the Mythic modifier to Unique Charms & Seals in the Cube.
- Developer’s Note: This was not an intended feature for S14 and was an unintended side effect of a different fix.
