Blizzard Entertainment has revealed that the Diablo 4 Battle Pass will require 80 hours of gameplay to complete it fully. This comes as part of the game’s seasonal journey and endgame content, alongside leveling a character to level 100, which may take slightly longer.
Diablo 4, like its predecessor, will feature seasons where players create new seasonal characters and level them from 1 to 100. Engaging in endgame activities and accomplishing objectives in the seasonal journey earns players progress on the Battle Pass through “favor.” The Battle Pass includes a free track with XP boosts for all players and a premium track with cosmetic rewards.
Joe Piepiora, the associate game director, told PC Gamer:
“Right now, the battle pass, when you’re figuring in completing the season journey alongside doing other content in the game, you’re looking at roughly 80 hours worth of time invested to complete the entirety of the battle pass. To level a character to level 100 could take a little longer than that based on how you play.”
Piepiora explained that players would likely finish the Battle Pass before reaching the max level each season. This aligns with Blizzard’s philosophy of allowing players to get what they want from the game and move on if desired.
Players who prefer focusing on the story can skip the endgame content and return when new story updates or other exciting content becomes available. Piepiora emphasized that engaging in the endgame and leveling every character to 100 is not the only way to enjoy Diablo 4.
Diablo 4 is set to release on June 6th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. Fans can anticipate more details during the Developer Update livestream on April 20th.
