Denuvo Status for Inzoi Confirmed, No Anti-Piracy Software

Inzoi will not use Denuvo after community feedback during Early Access.

Denuvo is a topic of heated debate among PC gamers, particularly with new releases like Inzoi. This life simulator has garnered comparisons to The Sims, showcasing its expansive gameplay and depth. However, concerns about Denuvo’s impact on the game’s performance have arisen.

The PC gaming community often faces challenges that can dampen the experience. Despite being a premier gaming platform, especially if one has the proper hardware, PC users frequently deal with late AAA ports and optimization issues alongside ongoing debates surrounding Denuvo’s implications.

Inzoi’s impressive stats on Steam wishlists highlight its popularity heading into 2025. But does it come loaded with Denuvo?

Inzoi incorporates many different elements and features, so some might understandably worry about the inclusion of anti-piracy software like Denuvo. Fortunately, the developers confirmed that they’ve decided against using it—a move welcomed by many fans who remember when it was briefly applied during Early Access.

Why Was Denuvo Removed From Inzoi?

Denuvo was removed from Inzoi following backlash from players who felt it restricted their experience.

An unexpected addition of Denuvo occurred overnight during the Early Access phase, which didn’t sit well with the player base. Within 48 hours, Inzoi Studio recognized their misstep and reverted this decision. The producer and game director Hyungjun “Kjun” Kim shared insights on this issue: “Our initial application of Denuvo on our main development build made it so that the inZOI: Creative Studio demo build was also applied with the same anti-tamper,” Kjun wrote. “Unfortunately, we failed to properly inform our players of this application during the demo period, and we sincerely apologize for that oversight.”

Kjun explained that while a lack of Denuvo increases risks related to piracy post-launch, they believe removing it supports greater flexibility for players in shaping experiences within Inzoi.
