Delta Force is dialing back Gizmo and fixing a console crash in the next patch

The July 10 no-downtime update adds Crawler Corrosion Damage Resistance after three hits and fixes a crash affecting some console models.

Delta Force is heading into a small but pointed balance pass on July 10. The update will keep gameplay and matchmaking online while it lands, and it is aimed at the gadget-heavy fights the team says have started to crowd out cleaner gunplay.

The studio is starting with Gizmo. After reviewing match data and player feedback, the new resistance mechanic is meant to trim the pressure from stacked Crawlers without changing Gizmo’s core role. A June 30 Meltdown season update already added new maps, weapons, and reward tracks, so this patch is narrowing the focus to balance and stability.

The other fix is simple but important on console. Some console models could occasionally crash, and this build is meant to clear that up while the operator tuning goes live.

Patch Notes

The July 10 build will stay live without downtime, so the game should remain accessible while the update installs. The main gameplay change targets Gizmo’s Crawler Nest, while the only listed bug fix addresses a crash on some console models.

Operator Balance Adjustments
【Operator – Gizmo】
Developer Note:
“When suppressed by multiple Crawlers, it can be difficult to fight back effectively through gunplay, creating more pressure than intended in certain scenarios. This adjustment is designed to reduce the combat pressure of facing multiple Crawlers while fully preserving Gizmo’s standard gameplay experience.”
All Modes
Crawler Nest: Added a new mechanic: Crawler Corrosion Damage Resistance
After taking damage from 3 Crawlers in quick succession, players will gain Corrosion Damage Resistance for a period of time. While the resistance is active, explosion damage taken from Crawlers will be greatly reduced.

Console Bug Fixes
●Fixed an issue where some console models could occasionally crash.
