Delta Force Announces Siege: Valkyrie and a Detonation Beta for Its Anniversary Roadmap
The 5v5 bomb-defusal mode is now in beta for PC and mobile players worldwide, while Siege: Valkyrie is planned for early 2027.
Delta Force‘s second-anniversary roadmap reaches well beyond another reward track. Team Jade has opened the new 5v5 Detonation bomb-defusal mode to PC and mobile players worldwide, while a new Unreal Engine 5 Operations map named Siege: Valkyrie is planned for early 2027. The roadmap also points to more Warfare content, social features, and a first major offline event outside Asia.
Detonation starts the next phase
Detonation puts two teams into a direct race over territory and timing. Attackers must break through defensive positions, plant explosives at designated sites, and detonate them, while defenders hold those positions or defuse any device that gets planted. Each round revolves around positioning, openings, and the decision to commit before the other team can respond.
The open beta is available worldwide on PC and mobile following its September 27 launch. At 5v5, the mode offers a tighter alternative to Delta Force’s larger Warfare battles and extraction-focused Operations matches, although console access is planned for later in 2026 rather than arriving alongside the first test.
Siege: Valkyrie brings mixed tiers to UE5
Siege: Valkyrie will send Operations players into a city divided by a giant wall. The inner city features wealthy high-rise districts, while the outer city is shaped by damaged buildings and a fight for resources. Each side of the map will carry different risks and rewards, with players deciding whether to extract safely or push deeper for a larger payout.
The map will also introduce a new matchmaking twist for Delta Force. Players from different difficulty tiers will enter the same match, creating a higher-stakes Operations experience where the danger can change depending on how far a squad travels. Cross-region matchmaking is also part of the wider Reorientation update.
Unreal Engine 5 features are also coming to Warfare. The Mog is the first Warfare map scheduled to support them, another map is planned for November 2026, and additional maps and modes are planned throughout 2027.
Reorientation adds current quality-of-life changes
The roadmap builds on the Reorientation season, which is already live with Layali Grove 2.0, fishing, jet-ski activities, Rover, and The Mog. The season also adds revised menus and tutorials alongside cross-region matchmaking. Polaris Patrol is scheduled for October 16.
The current anniversary event wave covers September 26 through October 25 and offers up to 3,900 Limited-Time Delta Tickets, along with the Golden State Legendary AUG appearance and other themed items.
Several of the season’s changes are aimed at reducing the time spent preparing for a match. One-click loadouts let players assemble equipment with a single selection, while the Combat Support Fund provides an in-game loan system to help cover the cost of valuable items. A revised G.T.I Field Manual and a redesigned tutorial also give new players clearer ways to learn the game, while making it easier for existing players to introduce friends.
The first volume of Operator Archives is available as part of the anniversary rollout and expands the backgrounds of Delta Force’s Operators and their weapons. Operator Quarters is planned for early 2027 as a dedicated space for customization, downtime, and socializing with friends.
Delta Force’s competitive calendar keeps growing
Delta Force’s competitive scene is getting its own anniversary marker. RISE Series 1 concluded in August with regional titles for Dark Entities in EMEA and Evil Geniuses in the United States, while the expanded RISE Series Season 2 is underway.
The Delta Force Invitational will take place at DreamHack Stockholm from November 27 through 29. It will be the game’s first major offline event outside Asia, adding a new international stop to a competitive circuit that has mostly grown through online regional play.
Detonation’s first test is already underway, well ahead of Siege: Valkyrie. Both additions point in the same direction. Delta Force is expanding the ways players can approach a match, from bomb sites and mixed-difficulty Operations lobbies to larger Warfare maps and social spaces outside combat.
